[UPDATED] Domains migration from BackupDNS to BasicDNS

Dear Customers,

As a part of the transition from our upstream provider, eNom/Tucows , on December 11th we will be pointing .com and .net domains that are currently using BackupDNS to Namecheap BasicDNS. This change will also improve the level of service you receive, as you will be migrated onto a newer DNS system.

The switch will happen automatically to all .com and .net domains pointed to BackupDNS along with all domain host records. If you’d like to switch your domains yourself, make sure to do it prior December, 11th.

During the switch the impacted domains may experience some temporary service unavailability. Make sure you clear your browser cache and flush the local DNS cache. The articles below will help you do this.

Our Customer Support Team will be available via Live Chat and the ticket system should you have any questions or concerns.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Kind regards,

Namecheap Support Team
