.CA domains: Scheduled Registry Maintenance – October 2-3

Dear Customers,

This is to let you know that on October 2-3 the registry of .CA domains will be processing a scheduled maintenance.

The time frame for the maintenance is as follows:

October 2, 11:00 PM – October 3, 01:00 AM EDT | October 3, 03:00 AM – 05:00 AM GMT

Domain availability check, registrations, renewals and updates will not be possible throughout the maintenance window. DNS service will continue to operate normally.

Please allow time until the maintenance is finished and then feel free to modify your existing .CA domains or register a new one.

[Resolved] Temporary Network Issues at PhoenixNAP Datacenter

Dear Customers,

PhoenixNAP datacenter is experiencing temporary network issues at the moment.

Our onsite personnel are already working on the issue, and all the necessary measures are being taken to resume normal service as soon as possible.

Affected services: the websites and email of all accounts may be temporary unavailable. cPanel/WHM control panels, MySQL, FTP and SSH accounts may be inaccessible either.

Estimated timeframe: unfortunately there is no ETA for now.

We have identified the cause as the DocumentViewer and the Calculator application within the webmail interface itself. We are disabling both of these options while a a fix is brought in.

Scheduled Hosting Accounts Transfer from Business Server 6 – October 5th

Dear Customers,

We are planning to transfer all the accounts hosted on Business Server 6 to a brand new state-of-the-art server of ours. The software on a new server will be updated to a higher version, also the server will provide the power and reliability we strive to deliver for years to come.

The transfer is going to be performed on October 5th, starting at 2:00 AM EST | 6:00 AM GMT. We aim to keep downtime to a minimum and will be performing the transfer outside of business hours to minimize disruption.

Could we please ask you to check the name servers of your domain names and make sure they are set to dns1/dns2.namecheaphosting.com or dns1/dns2.web-hosting.com ones:

- If hosted domains are pointed to one of these sets of nameservers, we will automatically update their DNS zones. No actions are required from you in this case.
- If hosted domains are pointed to the old hosting nameservers, which differ from our cluster ones, please re-point your domains to the following nameservers as soon as possible:

dns1.web-hosting.com and dns2.web-hosting.com

All customers, whose accounts will be transferred, will receive notifications with IP of the new server. If your domains are pointed to the hosting server with the help of an A record, please use the IP provided in the notification to update domains’ DNS zone. When the transfer starts, we will be constantly updating you via this blog post, which is why we highly advise you to bookmark this page.

[Resolved] DDos Attack on AtlantaNap datacenter

Dear Customers,

AtlantaNap Datacenter  is experiencing a  DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack at the moment. This is causing the temporary unavailability and network issues. Our Technical Department is  currently taking all the necessary measures to neutralize this attack and the resolve the normal workflow.

List of services affected:the web sites may not available at the moment. MySQL, cPanel/WHM, FTP and SSH accounts are not accessible as well. Private email’s webmail ay not be accessible either.

Timeframe: Unfortunately we do not have any ETA at the moment, but please be assured that we are doing our best to  restore normal services as soon as possible. We will be constantly updating you as to progress made.
