[RESOLVED] Possible Replication Delays on DNS System v2
Dear Customers,
This is to inform you that some domains that are currently using DNS System v2 might randomly experience delays with replication of DNS records. This may include URL Redirect, Email Forwarding and Host Records updates. This is already being taken care of by our engineering team, and we are doing our best to get the issue resolved as soon as possible.
In the meantime, if your domain gets affected, you may switch it to DNS System v1. In order to switch your domain to v1, you will need to do the following:
- log into your account
- click Manage Domains on top
- click on the domain name itself, or select it and click Edit Selected
- click on “Switch to DNS system v1″ in the left side menu
- check the box and click on Save changes.
The changes are to take effect entirely during the standard propagation period.
Kindly accept our apologies for the temporary inconvenience. Thank you for understanding and for your patience.
Best regards,
Namecheap Team

IP Renumbering in Atlanta Datacenter
Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you that starting from January 23d we are going to continue the series of IP renumbering in Atlanta datacenter. This step needs to be taken, as we continue to update our network and switch to our own pool of IP addresses, which also allows us to implement multiple-shared IP addresses on shared servers and significantly decrease effect on the hosted accounts by a random DDoS attack.
The domain names which use our hosting DNS servers (dns1.namecheaphosting.com and dns2.namecheaphosting.com or dns1.web-hosting.com and dns2.web-hosting.com) will start resolving to the new IP address automatically. Those utilizing host records on third party DNS servers or Namecheap Default DNS servers should have the A record updated. The notifications with necessary information will be sent to all the users whose IP will be changed.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Kind regards,
